Job Description
For our technical office in the steel construction sector - based in Bulle (FR), Denges (VD), Nyon (VD), Lyss (BE) or Arlesheim (BL) - we are looking for a German-speaking project manager. In collaboration with technicians, workshops, assembly, and support, the main tasks are as follows:
- Project management (creation of schedules, monitoring progress and resource planning, budget tracking, contract and financial management)
- Representation of the company and discussions with customers and representatives
- Technical development (design and dimensioning of load-bearing structures, design and dimensioning of connection elements, monitoring and control of execution plans, quality assurance, safety and environmental aspects)
- Structural calculations
- Material procurement inquiries and production start-up
- Assembly preparation and site supervision
Qualifications
To complete your projects independently, efficiently, and successfully, you have:
- Technical background and proven experience in steel construction (engineering structures: bridges, pedestrian bridges, buildings, sports facilities, etc.)
- Education in civil engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge of current technical and safety-related standards
- Leadership qualities, responsiveness, and foresight required to lead a project team and work closely with all internal and external stakeholders
- Creativity and pragmatism are necessary to manage a project in a balanced and independent manner.
- The ability to express yourself orally and in writing in German and French is essential.
The person we employ is resilient, open-minded, and can assert and enforce their position thanks to good communication and negotiation skills.
