What to expect
- You conduct market and competitor analyses and identify trends and innovations early in your assigned categories
- Analysis of needs and potentials for new assortments and products as well as accompanying the entire development process from requirement definition through sampling to initial procurement including quality control
- Close collaboration with Procurement and Content Team to ensure product availability as well as implementation of packaging, product images, and instructions according to CD/CI guidelines
- Building and further developing the supplier portfolio including negotiating purchasing conditions and participating in international trade fairs
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and safety standards as well as, if necessary, professional leadership and development of a Product Assistant
- A responsible role with a focus on technical product management, combined with analytical-conceptual tasks, negotiation skills, and the opportunity to apply your persuasiveness, implementation strength, and perseverance
What you bring
- Completed vocational training or a degree (FH/University), supplemented by further training in product management is an advantage
- Solid electrical engineering understanding
- At least 3 years of experience in product management, ideally in the development of private label products, as well as solid practical experience working with Asian, especially Chinese suppliers
- Extensive technical product management knowledge as well as a strong understanding of assortment control
- Analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills with strong negotiation abilities
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and implementation strength
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, English fluent in negotiation
