Within the UNITY Innovation Alliance (UIA) corporate group, there are affiliated companies and mutual shareholdings in accordance with §§ 15 ff. and 19 AktG. The following data protection policies apply to all the aforementioned companies on the websites of this job portal. For reasons of readability, the UIA will be referred to in the singular hereafter. All websites under this job portal are operated by UNITY AG in Germany.

Data Protection on the Website

We, the companies of the UIA, welcome every visit to our websites as well as interest in our companies and their range of services. The protection of personal data is a matter of great importance to us. All web activities of the UIA are carried out in accordance with applicable legal provisions on the protection of personal data and data security. These data protection notices provide information on how the UIA handles information collected during a visit to the websites.

Collection and Processing of Personal Data

When visiting our websites, our web servers automatically store the IP address assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider, the website from which you visit us, the pages you visit on our site, as well as the date and duration of the visit. Personal data that we require solely for processing your application will only be stored if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your application. Your personal information and data are collected, stored, and used with the utmost care and integrity and only for the intended purpose. The provisions of the GDPR and the Federal Data Protection Act are observed. We only collect the data necessary for your application with the UIA.

By processing and transmitting your data exclusively for the application process, you consent to this. You assure that your information is truthful. You are also aware that false information may lead to the termination of a potential employment relationship.

Your Online Application

After entering and submitting your data, it is transmitted directly via an encrypted connection to the server of our external service provider. All data is encrypted based on the TLS procedure.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access one of the UIA websites, general information that is not personal data (e.g., browser used, number of visits, average duration, pages accessed) is automatically collected (i.e., not via registration). This information is used to improve the attractiveness, content, and functionality of the website. No further use or disclosure of the data occurs in this case either.

Cookies

Our websites use cookies. Cookies are text files stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user's computer system. When a user accesses a website, a cookie can be stored on the user's operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string that enables the unique identification of the browser when the website is accessed again. It is possible to restrict the use of cookies in the browser. However, this may affect the usability of our websites depending on the browser settings.

Matomo

a) Description and Scope of Data Processing

On the UIA websites, data is collected and stored for marketing and optimisation purposes using the web analytics software Matomo (www.matomo.org). Usage profiles are created from this data under a pseudonym, using cookies. Cookies are small text files stored locally in the cache of the visitor's internet browser. The cookies enable the recognition of the internet browser. The data collected with Matomo technology is transmitted to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which serves to optimise the websites on our part. The information generated by the cookie in the pseudonymous user profile is not used to personally identify the visitor to the websites and is not merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym. You can prevent the use of cookies and thus participation in tracking by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of the websites fully.

b) Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing the personal data of users is Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.

c) Purpose of Data Processing

The processing of users' personal data enables us to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of the websites. This helps us to continuously improve the websites and their user-friendliness. These purposes also constitute the legitimate interest in processing the data according to Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.

d) Duration of Storage

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for recording purposes.

e) Objection and Removal Options

Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted by the user to our site. Therefore, you have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies already stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our websites, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the websites fully.

You have the option to prevent actions you perform here from being analysed and linked. This will protect your privacy but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.

Security

Your data is hosted by a provider in accordance with commissioned data processing pursuant to § 11 BDSG. Both the UIA and the provider implement technical and organisational security measures to protect your collected data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorised access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Links to Other Websites

This data protection statement applies to the appearances of the UIA. The websites in these appearances may contain links to other providers within and outside the UIA, to which this privacy policy does not extend. When you leave the UIA websites, it is recommended to carefully read the privacy policy of each website that collects personal data.
