Internship youngCaritas Zurich for 6 months (60%)
youngCaritas Zurich is the youth division of Caritas Zurich. youngCaritas Zurich raises awareness among children, adolescents and young adults about socio-political challenges and promotes their sense of responsibility and ability to act. youngCaritas Zurich offers young people the opportunity to volunteer within an institutional framework. Empowerment of young people is promoted by them taking on and bearing responsibility.
Your tasks
- Collaboration on existing projects and volunteer offers with adolescents and young adults on the topics of poverty and migration
- Assistance in updating the existing educational offer, especially in research work
- Support of the team in implementing a new participatory project
- Collaboration on occasional events and workshops of youngCaritas Zurich
- Support in public relations, especially management of social-media channels and the website
Our requirements
- Interest in and/or experience in social and political subject areas, especially in the fields of activity of Caritas Zurich
- Students from the fields of human or social sciences or comparable education are an advantage
- Familiarity with the life world of adolescents and young adults
- Interest in the education system and enjoyment of research work
- Initiative and willingness to work flexible hours
- Enjoyment of working in a dynamic team and with volunteers
- Interest in social media and content management
- Good command of German (spoken and written)
- Appreciation for the church environment
Workplace is Zurich.
