Vice Principal (80-100%) 80 - 100%The Literargymnasium Rämibühl is a Zurich long secondary school with classical and modern language profiles, the PPP profile, as well as an educational pathway leading to a double qualification: bilingual Matura (German/English) and International Baccalaureate (IB). The gymnasium is a workplace and learning environment for around 770 students and 130 teachers and staff. The traditional gymnasium, founded in 1833, is characterized by its proximity to the University and ETH Zurich, its manageable size, and a broadly developed elective course offering.
Starting from the 2026/27 school year until the end of the 2029/30 school year, a position as Vice Principal is to be filled. This position is created in the context of the school's relocations and repositioning to strengthen the existing school management.
Your tasks
As Vice Principal, you actively contribute to the pedagogical, administrative, and conceptual leadership of the school during this interesting time. Thanks to your leadership qualities and your teaching experience at the secondary school level, you can contribute from the start and take on important pedagogical leadership tasks. You have skill in dealing with teachers, staff, students, parents, and external parties. In addition, you are passionate about teaching.
Your profile
Requirements for this role include, in addition to a completed university degree, a teaching diploma for Matura schools (or an equivalent professional and pedagogical qualification), and teaching experience at the secondary school level, also many years of experience in school management at a Zurich cantonal school and/or profound knowledge of the Literargymnasium. As Vice Principal, you will teach 10 lessons per week.
