Work Group Supervisor 80 - 100%With around 1,400 employees, the Department of Justice Enforcement and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as for the execution of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of offenders and are committed effectively and progressively to a safe and just society.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. With around 400 detention places, it is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfils a central state function and, according to legal mandate, contributes to the protection of the public while simultaneously creating the conditions for the resocialisation of the incarcerated individuals.
We are looking for a resilient personality with pronounced social skills to start immediately or by arrangement. Together with an experienced team, you will accompany, supervise and promote incarcerated persons at the employment and work places in the correctional trades.
Your tasks
- You ensure a safe, structured and smooth operation in the workshop
- Professional guidance, accompaniment and promotion of a group of incarcerated persons in their daily work
- Planning and coordination of employment assignments taking into account individual abilities and resources
- Close cooperation with the residential groups and other internal specialist departments
- Preparation of reports and assessments on the development and behaviour of the incarcerated persons
- Drafting reports and assessments on the development and behaviour of the incarcerated persons
- Participation in the design of a meaningful and resource-oriented working day
- Commitment as an active member of the company fire brigade
Your profile
- Basic vocational training (EFZ) or an equivalent qualification
- Further training as a justice enforcement specialist or willingness to complete this; additional training in work pedagogy is an advantage
- Experience in a craft environment and enjoyment in accompanying, guiding and promoting people in their development
- High social competence as well as the ability to professionally manage closeness and distance
- Resilient, team-oriented and flexible personality with an appreciative basic attitude
- Confident handling of common MS Office applications as well as fluent German skills; further language skills are an advantage
- Minimum age of 25 years and a clean record (no entries in criminal and debt registers)
