The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is a specialist organisation for addiction issues with the areas of work Prevention + Health Promotion, Counselling + Therapy as well as Integration + Enterprises. Around 90 employees and about 260 volunteers at 13 locations implement the diverse services, which are financed by service contracts from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals.
Networking with the Swiss and International Blue Cross supports innovation and quality assurance. The Blue Cross is politically and denominationally independent.
The Bistro kostbar is part of the Blaukreuz-Brocki Thun and combines gastronomy, meeting and social integration. The bistro offers meaningful work and integration places for people in challenging life situations and at the same time creates a low-threshold offer for customers, employees, clients and visitors of the Blaukreuz-Brocki Thun.

Specialist Integration Officer

Area of activity
In this versatile role, you accompany people within the framework of the integration offer in Bistro kostbar and actively contribute to making the offer visible, sustainable and well networked in the Thun region. You combine professional integration work with practical guidance in everyday bistro life, administrative support and targeted networking with referring agencies.
Your main tasks include:
- Building, further developing and anchoring the integration offer regionally in Bistro kostbar
- Networking with social services, clinics, counselling centres, authorities, specialist agencies and other referring institutions
- Active promotion of the offer to relevant stakeholders in the Thun and Bern region
- Responsibility for intake, deployment planning and support of clients in everyday business
- Key worker duties, site meetings and administrative support of clients
- Obtaining and managing cost approvals as well as agreements with referring agencies
- Practical guidance and promotion of clients in the bistro operation
- Support with application questions, work integration and personal stabilisation
- Crisis intervention and professional assessment in challenging situations
- Ensuring the flow of information between the bistro, Blaukreuz-Brocki, Integration + Enterprises area and external partners
Profile
For this demanding development and integration role, we are looking for an initiative, resilient and well-networked personality with a passion for people, social integration and the development of a new offer.
You bring with you:
- Training in social work, social pedagogy, work pedagogy or a comparable qualification
- Experience or strong interest in working with people with addiction disorders or psychosocial burdens
- Experience in the field of work integration, vocational integration or client support is an advantage
- Enjoyment in making an offer regionally known and building sustainable networks
- Confidence in contact with social services, clinics, specialist agencies, authorities and other referring institutions
- Independent, structured and responsible way of working
- High social competence, ability to work in a team, initiative and good communication skills
- Resilience and clarity in dealing with challenging situations
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
- Good administrative skills and confident PC skills
- Identification with the Blue Cross mission statement
