- Advising pupils on (psycho-)social issues
- Advising school leaders, teachers and guardians
- Networking and collaboration with specialised agencies and authorities, triage
- Advising the school on the implementation of health promotion and prevention
- Information and raising awareness on relevant child and youth topics
- Professional advice and assessment in cases of possible child welfare endangerment
- Class interventions and coaching of teachers on social challenges (e.g. conflicts, bullying) in the class
- Participation in a diverse team of school social workers
- Higher education in Social Work or Social Pedagogy
- Specialist further training, e.g. CAS Systemic Counselling or CAS School Social Work
- Experience and enjoyment in working with children and young people
- Interest in working in a school setting
- Independent and networked working, organisational skills
- Open, empathetic personality and confident appearance
- Independent, team-oriented, flexible, resilient and confident in communication
