About the job
The St.Gallen municipal utilities are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly the region in the supply of energy, water and fibre optics. The implementation of the new network strategy and the associated increasing demand for PV systems and e-charging stations require the expansion of our capacities. Therefore, we are creating an additional position in the Electricity and Telecom Network Department, Services Division. For the Control and Permits department, we are looking for a committed individual to start immediately or by arrangement as
Electrical Inspector / Electrical Safety Consultant (m/f/d) 80 - 100%
We actively shape the energy transition and are looking for a motivated person who wants to actively participate in this change.
Your responsibilities
- You conduct spot checks and site inspections and record the results clearly and comprehensibly.
- You take over the technical examination of installation notifications and technical connection applications, ensure compliance with technical requirements and are responsible for their approval.
- You are responsible for registrations for energy consumption, especially for PV systems and e-charging stations.
- You competently support your customers in planning network connections and reliably carry out control measurements.
- Additionally, you assist with tariff, energy and safety questions and evaluate safety certificates.
Your profile
- Training and several years of experience as an electrical installer with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) and ideally completed further training as an electrical safety consultant (FA) or electrical project manager.
- Alternatively, you are in training for this or willing to complete the further training on the job.
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable role is a plus.
- You have very good knowledge of common MS Office applications and ideally experience with the Electroform tool.
- You are motivated to spend 50–60% of your work time travelling within the city of St. Gallen depending on the tasks and have a valid category B driving licence.
- You approach your tasks independently, precisely and in a well-structured manner.
- You present yourself as a reliable, performance-oriented team player who can be depended on.
- You have a good sense of customer concerns and always work precisely and carefully.
- You consistently implement safety regulations and weigh situations accordingly without losing your assertiveness.
