Tasks
For the individual support of a pupil in Cycle 1 from the autism spectrum, we are looking for a committed and empathetic personality. The setting initially takes place outreach in the home environment and is oriented to the needs and resources of the child. The core of the task is the development of a sustainable relationship as well as the joint design of a reliable daily structure. You plan and accompany activities, create security and enable the pupil to participate and experience positive successes in everyday life. In addition, you support the pupil in building independence and learning strategies for stress reduction and communicating their own needs. You observe and document the progress carefully and gradually test the introduction to group settings. Together with teachers, you reflect on social issues and environmental factors and develop suitable strategies to optimally adapt the framework conditions to the pupil's needs. Close cooperation with the school management, class teachers, specialist agencies, authorities and parents is an important part of the activity.
Requirements
You have training or experience in the social pedagogical, curative educational or school sector and bring interest or experience in working with children on the autism spectrum. You approach children with patience, empathy and appreciation and know how to build sustainable relationships and convey security. A structured, independent and reflective way of working also characterises you, as does resilience and confidence in action in challenging situations. You enjoy working interdisciplinarily, communicate openly and appreciate collaboration with teachers, specialist agencies and parents. In addition, you have good observation and documentation skills, act resource-oriented and flexibly and are willing to work outreach in the home environment. Commitment to an inclusive attitude and joy in shaping everyday school life complete your profile.
