Three organisations are joining forces to offer the electronic patient record (EPR) nationwide to the public and medical service providers. From 2026, the EPR core communities eHealth Aargau (emedo), eSANITA and CARA will work together and offer the EPR under the CARA brand. A cooperation agreement will be concluded for this purpose. The existing EPR platform from emedo forms the uniform technical infrastructure of the new EPR core community.

BINT plays a central role in a uniform electronic patient record for the whole of Switzerland.
