Why we are Recruiting
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies continue to drive the digital economy, their impact on governments, enterprises, institutions, and individuals is becoming increasingly apparent. AI possesses significant potential to enhance existing strategies and provide innovative solutions to global economic challenges. Nonetheless, the adoption and utilization of AI opportunities have been inconsistent across different regions.
Launched in June 2023, the AI Governance Alliance (AIGA) was set up to provide guidance on the responsible design, development, adoption, deployment, and governance of AI. It aims to address these challenges by identifying the factors that facilitate AI adoption and developing sustainable solutions tailored to the specific challenges faced by different countries and regions, thus bridging gaps in AI technology at regional and country levels.
The Specialist, AI Communications & Marketing position is of critical importance to support the work of the AI Governance Alliance (AIGA) in shaping and delivering impactful communications and marketing strategies that reinforce AIGA’s mission, foster stakeholder engagement, and promote the responsible development and use of AI technologies across the world, such as the Hiroshima Principles and Code of Conduct on Safe Secure and Trustworthy AI.
Relevant focus areas include:
- Support daily communications activities for the Centre for AI Excellence, ensuring effective promotion of globally recognized responsible AI governance principles—such as the G7 Hiroshima AI Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct—while maintaining smooth coordination and timely execution of all communication tasks.
- Support efforts to maintain consistent communication and brand alignment to effectively engage stakeholders across sectors.
- Contribute to the promotion of responsible development and use of AI technologies by ensuring high-quality, clear, and consistent messaging.
- Act as a skilled task manager, capable of balancing multiple priorities with precision, organization, and strong follow-through.

This role entails close collaboration with various stakeholders, including the broader AIGA team located in Geneva, San Francisco, New York, China, and Japan, the Digital Trade and Geopolitics team. Additionally, there will be interaction with the C4IR Network and national Forum affiliate centres.
