About the job
Your new role
As a result of two retirements, we are looking for reinforcement in our team. As a supervisor, you are jointly responsible with your colleagues in your department for the operation of the municipal emergency shelter, a supervised residential group, and outreach psychosocial support for social assistance recipients. Together with your team, you ensure the primary needs of the residents in the Haus zur Grünhalde such as food, shelter, basic medical care, and hygiene of those affected. Additionally, you contribute to the household management of the accommodation, carry out clarifications according to legal requirements, and maintain constructive cooperation within the department, the city administration, and with external specialist agencies. An interesting, varied, and dynamic challenge awaits you.
This position is for you if
- You have experience in caring for or supporting people on the margins of our society.
- You ideally have vocational training in psychiatry or social work.
- You are extremely resilient and assertive.
- You value your independence and are willing to work alone with clients in a demanding context.
- You have the willingness and necessary flexibility for irregular working hours (including night and weekend shifts). The focus of these two positions is on night shifts (no on-call duty).

At the Social Services, people are at the center of our actions. Our approximately 150 employees provide a wide range of services in the areas of social assistance as well as child and adult protection for the benefit of the city’s population. The Haus zur Grünhalde, as part of the Social Assistance Department, consists of two central offerings for social marginalized groups: the accommodation for homeless people (UfO) and a supervised residential group (BWG). We offer a maximum of 18 residents a daily life-oriented, independence-promoting, psychosocial care within a key worker system. Additionally, the department provides outreach psychosocial support services for social assistance recipients on behalf of the Social Assistance Department.
