Audiology and Otoneurology Technician for the ENT Department
To complete its team, the Otorhinolaryngology department is looking for a technician specialised in audiometry and otoneurology, for a start date of 1 August 2026 or a date to be agreed upon, with a workload between 90 and 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Otoneurology and Audiology unit is attached to the Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery department of CHUV. It cares for patients suffering from hearing loss of various origins, tinnitus, dizziness, balance disorders or facial paralysis. Each patient benefits from specialised examinations exploring the functions of hearing and balance from the inner ear to the central nervous system. Once the diagnosis is obtained, appropriate care is initiated. The unit also has a teaching and research mission.
Mission
- You ensure the reception and care of patients with hearing loss of various origins, tinnitus, dizziness and balance disorders, and perform exploratory examinations, such as:
- pure tone and speech audiogram, assessments for AI-AVS hearing aids
- impedance audiometry
- Tympanometry and stapedius reflex measurement
- early auditory evoked potential
- evoked otoacoustic emissions
- paediatric audiometry
- video nystagmography
- video head impulse test
- saccular and utricular otolithic evoked potential
- static and dynamic computerised posturography
- You guarantee the traceability and follow-up of examinations and data in compliance with current protocols and quality standards
- You participate in meetings and present recorded data and specific cases
- You participate in the training of assistant doctors in audiometric examinations
- You manage and maintain specific high-tech equipment
- You collaborate with medical, nursing and administrative teams.
Profile
- You can demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' professional experience in audiometry and ideally in otoneurological investigations (diploma or equivalent qualification is a plus)
- You have excellent command of French (knowledge of English or German would be an advantage)
- You master common computer tools (MS Office)
- You are a flexible and open-minded person, able to work independently and as part of a team
- You have excellent interpersonal skills
- You collaborate easily within a multidisciplinary team
- You demonstrate analytical and synthetic thinking, a sense of responsibility, good adaptability and are well organised
- You master common computer tools.
