Pictet Alternative Advisors is a leading alternative investment specialist with expertise in hedge funds, private equity and global real estate. The Geneva- and London-based team constructs, manages and advises on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.
The Group has strong development ambitions for Pictet Alternative Advisors for the coming years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base. In view of these developments, Pictet Alternative Advisors is looking to hire an Operations Officer to steer its development.
Based in Geneva, you will be joining a busy team at the core of supporting a strong level of activity and growth across our alternative investments platform. You will provide operational support across a diversified range of investment strategies, as well as managed accounts.
Your role
• Managing and coordinating operations linked to the investment teams (Products and mandates)
• Providing support for the investment teams, management and internal clients.
• Monitoring NAV calculations, FX hedging, reporting, transactions and client services.
• Coordinating with all service providers (legal, tax, compliance, administrators, back-office, etc.).
• Monitoring risks and investment constraints.
• Working on various occasional and recurrent projects (e.g. TER calculations).
• Optimising and automating processes (IT development).
Your profile
• At least five years’ experience in a similar role in a fund department or with an asset manager.
• Proven practical knowledge of alternative products (Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate) operations management.
• Rigorous, with excellent numeracy skills and a keen attention to detail.
• A certain ability to deal with issues/topics with specialists from various businesses (investment managers, tax, compliance, etc.), with excellent verbal and writing skills in these particular situations.
• Advanced user of Excel and generally at ease with new IT systems. Ideally with an AI interest or experience.
• At ease expressing yourself in both French and English, with the relevant written proficiency to draft documentation and discuss complex matters with both internal and external parties, whether native speakers or not.
• Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
