To strengthen our production team in Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Process Engineer / Chemical Engineer. In this role, you will be a member of the operations management team and lead and organize activities in the area of the assigned multipurpose plants, ensuring that the needs of the market and other stakeholders are fully met.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Technical project management within the assigned plants and the products to be produced, constantly complying with safety and quality guidelines
- Leading and participating in risk analyses for new productions and changes to existing processes
- Continuous improvement of production regarding safety, quality, cost, and efficiency through detailed process data analysis (PI, Seeq, DeltaV), troubleshooting in ongoing production
- Close collaboration with internal interfaces (R&D, Business, Analytics, EHS, Logistics)
- Preparation of necessary plant and process documentation (SOP, Master Batch Records)
- Promoting the Arxada culture characterized by cooperative teamwork, openness within the team and beyond
- Taking on on-call duty in the assigned plants (for 24/7 on-call duty in production plants, the workplace must be reachable from home within one hour without public transport)
Qualifications and experience:
- Completed studies in chemical engineering, process engineering or comparable (Master’s or PhD)
- Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical production is an advantage
- Enthusiasm and joy for technology
- Independent and flexible working style
- Fluent German and good English skills
- Good communication skills, responsibility, reliability and resilience
- You enjoy working with people to make changes and find creative solutions
