Internship Student 70 - 80%
The Cantonal Social Office with over 280 employees takes on diverse, steering, and operational tasks primarily in social assistance, social insurance, social institutions, and in the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities, and various private organizations. It also operates its own facility, the tilia, which has over 124 residential and employment places, divided into 12 living groups and 5 workshop areas. The locations are Rheinau, Winterthur, Embrach, and Freienstein. The tilia cares for, accompanies, and promotes adults with cognitive and/or mental impairments.
For our living groups in Freienstein, Embrach, Winterthur, and at the Rheinau location, we are looking for an internship student 70-80% starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement, for a limited period of 6-12 months.
Your main tasks
- You will learn the care concept of the respective living group, actively participate in daily life, and promote the practical life skills and resources of the residents.
- You will support and accompany the residents individually in coping with daily life, promoting their independence and social skills.
- You will maintain contacts with external offices.
- You will help create a positive living group environment, support goal achievement, ensure appropriate interventions in psychiatric or somatic emergencies, and take on administrative as well as household tasks.
Your skills and talents
- You are a student in a Bachelor's program in Social Work.
- You are interested in working with mentally impaired adults and are willing to engage with the demands of daily care.
- You are a responsible, resilient, and independent personality and bring flexibility and teamwork skills.
