Your new role
As a result of an early planned succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed individual for this versatile and responsible leadership position in the extended corps management. You will lead the Finance / Logistics department with the associated divisions of accounting and logistics and contribute significantly to their further development. You are responsible for the budget, the financial plan, and the investment planning and ensure effective controlling in compliance with the applicable legal frameworks (HRM2). In addition, you will provide support in the fines system, prepare city council decisions or parliamentary proposals, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders. In the logistics area, you are responsible for ordering and procurement, vehicle acquisition and maintenance, as well as facility management.
This role is for you if you
- can demonstrate in-depth expertise and several years of experience in finance and accounting as well as the federal specialist certificate in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification.
- have several years of leadership experience and strong leadership skills.
- are interested in blue light organisations and public administration or already have experience in one of these areas.
- count responsibility, quality orientation, and attention to detail among your strengths.
- have an analytical mindset and strategic foresight.
- are ideally already familiar with Abacus.
- count negotiation skills and assertiveness among your strengths.
- ideally have experience in logistics or are willing to familiarise yourself with this area.
- have an impeccable reputation and for whom confidentiality and reliability are a matter of course.
