About the job
Would you like to specifically develop your surgical profile further while actively helping to establish a women’s clinic? Are you attracted to a role in an idyllic mountain region that combines professional development with a high quality of life?
This regionally anchored clinic in an idyllic mountain area of Central Switzerland is purposefully expanding its women’s clinic. You will work in a small, efficient team consisting of the chief physician, senior physician, attending physician, and consulting support, taking on a central role in the further development.
The women’s clinic combines obstetrics and surgical gynaecology. With around 400 births per year, the obstetrics department offers continuous work in close collaboration with an experienced midwifery team.
The focus is on surgical gynaecology: the spectrum includes laparoscopic, vaginal, and abdominal procedures as well as the expansion of specialised areas such as urogynaecology and gynaecological oncology. Modern infrastructure and existing operating theatre capacities enable targeted further development of surgical skills and the introduction of your own specialisations.
Short decision-making paths and the manageable team structure create an environment where you can take responsibility and actively shape the further development of the women’s clinic.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent performance of surgical procedures (laparoscopic, vaginal, abdominal)
- Continuous expansion of your surgical profile and, if desired, introduction of your own specialisations
- Care of gynaecological and obstetric patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Participation in obstetrics including ultrasound and basic diagnostics
- Close collaboration with midwives, nursing staff, and attending physicians
- Participation in the senior consultant on-call service
- Active involvement in the development and advancement of the women’s clinic
Your qualifications:
- Specialist qualification in gynaecology and obstetrics
- Recognition by MEBEKO (or willingness to obtain this with support from Medimeo)
- Solid surgical experience with a clear interest in further development
- Enjoyment of responsibility and shaping a developing clinical structure
- Very good German language skills
Your benefits:
- Clear surgical orientation with existing operating theatre capacities
- Opportunity to establish and develop your own specialisations long-term
- Small, personal team with direct communication and high personal responsibility
- Active role in expanding a women’s clinic with strategic perspective
- Manageable birth numbers with continuous clinical activity
- Working in a natural, attractive mountain region with high recreational value
- Fair and transparent remuneration regardless of specialty
- Support with relocation to Switzerland and the recognition process via MEBEKO
