Specialist in Outpatient Patient Billing 80-100%

About the job

You are responsible for correct invoicing (including service verification) according to legal, collective agreement, and operational regulations. Additionally, you primarily prepare outpatient invoices and provide information in response to queries about issued invoices. As a contact person for questions from internal service providers, you work closely with upstream and downstream departments. You coordinate clarifications between service providers, patients, clinics, and insurers. You participate in rejection management and handle invoice disputes from the outpatient service area, including cancelling and issuing new invoices. Furthermore, in your role as a specialist, you support and assist internal clinics regarding tariff-compliant and complete service recording, analyse and optimise processes, contribute to internal projects, and support the head of patient administration on various professional topics.

Start date: 1 August 2026 or by arrangement.

• You have completed commercial training and/or basic or further medical education
• Ideally, you have business management training (hospital specialist with a federal certificate or comparable qualifications)
• You have knowledge of medical terminology
• You have experience in the health and/or health insurance sector and possess sound knowledge of tariff systems
