Auxiliary staff member for hospital reception and admission
The Department of Psychiatry at CHUV is seeking an auxiliary staff member for hospital reception and admission, with a work rate according to schedule, within the framework of a fixed-term contract from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 (possibly renewable).
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Psychiatry consists of 11 services covering the three stages of life. It brings together the Central, West, and North psychiatric sectors of the canton and provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for people suffering from mental disorders.
The teams provide acute care, outpatient follow-ups, as well as interventions in the patients' usual living environment.
Mission
- You ensure the reception of patients, their relatives, visitors, and staff, respecting the values and principles of CHUV
- You manage telephone calls according to the current quality standards
- You handle the administrative management of outpatient and inpatient admissions in accordance with institutional procedures
- You perform various administrative and logistical tasks related to the smooth running of the sector.
Profile
- You hold an AFP diploma as an office assistant, office employee, or an equivalent qualification
- You have confirmed experience in a reception or front desk role, ideally in a medical or hotel environment
- You demonstrate organisational skills, versatility, and autonomy
- You have a sense of hospitality and responsibility
- You are proficient with common IT tools (MS Office)
- You appreciate teamwork
- You show dynamism, proactivity, and good stress management
- You are flexible regarding working hours (day, night, weekends, and public holidays)
