This apprenticeship lasts a total of three years.
With us, you will learn the profession from the ground up and be carefully prepared for your later activity as a
professional driver.
By December 1st of the year the apprenticeship begins, you must have completed your 16th year of age.
- First, you will get to know the internal operations such as goods handling, repair workshop, and accompany experienced drivers in their daily work.
- At the same time, you will acquire knowledge of car theory. After successfully passing the car theory exam, you will attend driving school including the driving test for category B.
- Next, there will be a phase with the delivery van, where you will already be allowed to carry out transports across Switzerland independently.
- In the internal training, you will be prepared for the VZV theory exam, and then the driving school for the truck will take place. During this time, you will be trained by the internal driving instructor and experienced professional drivers.
- Your knowledge and skills will now be demonstrated with the truck driving test (category C).
- From now on, a truck will be entrusted to you, for which you will bear responsibility. It is also your duty to take care of the cargo and to behave exemplary towards other road users.
- The crowning achievement of the apprenticeship is the trailer training, which you will complete with the trailer driving test (category CE).
