The gaw is a non-profit organization and has been standing for professional and sustainable work and housing integration for people with predominantly mental impairments in the Basel region since 1987. A diverse team of around 100 specialists contributes to integration in the areas of retail/production, gastronomy, household management, packaging and shipping, commercial professions, and housing with around 230 supported work and training positions as well as 35 partially supervised housing positions.
In the case management team, you specialize in our trainees, professional measures, and protected work positions, particularly in the context of pedagogical support. Here, you work interdisciplinary with the various professional groups of the internal companies of the gaw.
To professionally support our clientele, we are looking for an experienced personality as Work Educator 80% - 100% immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks - diverse & meaningful
- Close collaboration with external parties (schools, support systems) and internal coordination with household management, kitchen, and restaurant
- Pedagogical support of the clientele in training, IV measures, or protected work positions
- Consultation of internal trainers and specialists
- Collaboration in the areas of household management, kitchen, and restaurant
- Coordination of goal implementation in collaboration with the trainers
- Writing meaningful reports for clients
Your profile - professionally competent & humanly committed
- Degree in work education or equivalent qualification
- Solid experience in professional integration, ideally in the context of disability insurance
- Independent, responsible working style
- Experience in dealing with people with mental and cognitive impairments
- Fresh appearance with a focus on teamwork
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
