Assistant Sacristan on an Hourly Wage (10-20%)
The church district one belongs to the church community of Zurich and includes the old town with the churches Fraumünster, Grossmünster, St. Peter, the Water Church, and the Preacher's Church. For our cheerful sacristan team, we are looking for you as an engaged member starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Setting up and preparing rooms for services, concerts, receptions, or events
- Welcoming and assisting event attendees
- Accompanying and assisting in the execution of services and other events such as concerts, weddings, graduation ceremonies, etc.
- Operating technical equipment such as audio, lighting, or projectors
- Supervising and ensuring compliance with house rules
- Cleaning tasks before and after events
Your Profile
- Organizational skills as well as an independent and service-oriented work style
- Experience and enjoyment in the host role as well as in physically active tasks
- Flair for handling electronic devices and technical facilities in a church
- Willingness to work mainly on weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as polished manners
- Foreign language skills in English and/or French are an advantage
- Positive attitude towards the Reformed Church
