The facility has 240 acute care beds, a maternity ward with about 1,500 births per year, and nearly 30,000 emergency consultations. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced occupational therapist for Morges Hospital to join our team within an acute care hospital:
Occupational Therapist in a hospital setting at 80-100%
Start date as soon as possible or to be agreed upon.
The position offers an elderly patient base, varied services (orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, palliative care, geriatrics, neurology, possibilities for outpatient follow-ups in hand rehabilitation) as well as the opportunity to develop varied practices such as in intensive care.
YOUR OBJECTIVES
- Develop, in collaboration with patients, an individualized therapeutic project based on SMART objectives and then ensure its implementation, monitoring, and adjustment.
- Assess the functional capacities and level of autonomy of patients in activities of daily living (ADL), relying on occupational therapy practice models.
- Intervene with a varied population, taking into account physical, cognitive, and psychosocial dimensions.
- Actively contribute to the interdisciplinary therapeutic process, notably by recommending assistive devices, therapeutic education, and supporting patients' life projects.
YOU HAVE
- A CRS-recognized occupational therapist diploma or in the process of recognition (possibility to do the internship during employment).
- Training in hand rehabilitation and experience in this field.
- Experience in hospital occupational therapy is an asset.
- An interest in supervising students in training.
- Energy and heightened sensitivity to relational aspects.
- Skills in communication, listening, and pedagogy.
