Job Description
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva is opening applications for a position of
Lecturer at 100%
within the Directorate of Teaching and the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Medicine.
TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching microbiology to students of human medicine and dental medicine
- Support and supervision of students in the research group
- Educational presentations of research to pre- and postgraduate students of the laboratory
- Contribution to research in microbiology
- At the level of the undergraduate curriculum for medical and dental students, acting as CA
- Contribution to the development and implementation of learning and assessment concepts in the curriculum
- Support and advice to students of the Faculty of Medicine or external students
- Analysis of particular eligibility situations
- Monitoring student assessments
- Participation in the organisation of examinations and management of exam consultations following appeals.
- Participation in the high school students' day and other City events related to medical training
- Participation in the teaching commission and its office, the Bachelor committee and its office.
- Participation in the learning support and monitoring group
Required Title and Skills
Doctorate in science or equivalent.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Experience in microbiology research and medical education
- Knowledge of the functioning of a Faculty of Medicine
- Team spirit, collegiality
- Fluency in French, very good level of English
