The position is attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences . This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological and ENT pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation).
The department's objective is to guide patients towards regaining their autonomy through education, support and outpatient follow-up. It ensures both the surgery of patients and their support, to promote early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also prioritised and surgical activity optimised to facilitate access to care within a reasonable timeframe.
The intermediate care unit for neurology and neurosurgery provides comprehensive, diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients of all ages.
Job Description
You will join a 14-bed intermediate care unit. This unit admits patients from the specialties of vascular neurology, neurosurgery and general neurology.
You provide personalised nursing care autonomously and under medical delegation, with close monitoring for patients of all ages.
You work in an acute care context that requires the use of medical devices and medical-technical equipment.
You are able to analyse complex clinical situations and have the ability to manage unforeseen events through various monitoring systems.
You are committed to quality care and direct your care to ensure safe treatment.
You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and consider the patient and their relatives as partners in care.
You participate in the supervision and clinical teaching of new nursing staff and other health professionals. You ensure precise and rigorous information transfer in an interprofessional context.
Your learning abilities allow you to continuously improve your practice.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent recognised qualification by the Swiss Red Cross.
Having specialised training is an asset. Specialisation in continuous care is required or must be acquired during employment.
You have at least 2 years of experience in acute care.
You have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
Thanks to your responsiveness, good stress management and strong sense of priorities, you are able to cope with a high patient flow.
You are rigorous by nature and have excellent mastery of technical skills and clinical assessment with developed clinical judgement.
Your ability to work collaboratively allows you to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
You embody the relational values of teamwork.
