What to expect

As an Underwriter for Motor Vehicle Fleets and Private Customers, you are part of the Broker Business Directorate in Zurich-Oerlikon. Together with the Mobility Market Development team, you assess complex risks, develop sustainable insurance solutions, and actively shape our joint success through well-founded underwriting decisions and a collaborative partnership with our brokers.

Your impact with us

In this role, you independently handle enquiries from the broker business and make risk-appropriate underwriting and acceptance decisions, taking into account risk, profitability, and market potential.

You take professional responsibility for concluding and continuously managing complex motor vehicle fleet and private customer business. You prepare offers, restructuring proposals, and policies, ensure correct contract management throughout the entire lifecycle, and manage your portfolio purposefully.

Additionally, you coordinate collaboration with brokers and internal specialist departments and build sustainable business relationships through your professional, solution-oriented communication. With your strong service mindset, you ensure that our partners always feel competently supported and accompanied.

Your profile

• Completed basic training in insurance with further education as an insurance specialist with a federal diploma or equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in underwriting motor vehicle fleet insurance or private customer business
• Analytical thinking skills and a strong understanding of economic contexts and profitability
• Independent, structured, and responsible working style
• Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as enjoyment in collaborating with internal and external partners
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; additional national languages are an advantage
