Professor for Saxophone (30-50%)

• You teach students specialising in saxophone in the Bachelor and Master programmes as well as in chamber music.
• You conduct class lessons and recital evenings, are present at aptitude assessments and final examinations, and take responsibility for the development of young musicians.
• You engage in university committees, especially in subject group meetings and conferences, and advocate for the further development of study programmes. 
• You bring your diverse concert and professional experience into the professional training of students at the University of Music Basel FHNW. 
• You develop existing formats and study programmes further together with the subject group and the management team. 
• You contribute to the establishment and further development of cooperations within the MAB campus as well as with important regional and international institutions.

• You are a well-networked and internationally recognised artistic personality. 
• You have completed a university degree in music and have extensive concert and teaching experience at university level.
• You are distinguished by excellent didactic skills and a strong pedagogical commitment. 
• You are familiar with the professional requirements for students and know the latest developments in concert and music life, especially in the field of ensembles for new music and chamber music. 
• Dealing with contemporary music and chamber music is a natural part of your artistic and pedagogical activity. 
• You identify with the goals and values of the University of Music Basel FHNW and contribute to an inclusive and enriching university culture. 
• You have a university didactic qualification or are willing to acquire one during the first years (standard for professors).
