As a Chef de Rang, you are a key person in the gastronomy sector. You ensure that guests receive smooth and first-class service in the restaurant and are warmly cared for. You are responsible for coordinating your service area, guiding commis and interns, and fostering a positive team culture.

Depending on the area and professional experience, your tasks will vary and include, among others:

• Ensuring a smooth service process during breakfast, lunch buffet, afternoon coffee/snack, and/or dinner menu

• Welcoming and seating guests, professional advice, taking orders

• Personal guest care. A charming and unobtrusive service in line with our values: appreciative, together, lively, and genuine

• Use of the cash register system

• Training and guidance: onboarding, supervision, and development of commis, interns, apprentices, and helpers. Role model for the entire team.

• Coordination and preparation of service stations, mise en place, and setting tables, if necessary cleaning before and after service

• Responsibility for compliance with hygiene and safety standards in the restaurant area

• Close cooperation with the kitchen and other departments to ensure optimal guest service

• Complaint management: professional handling of complaints

• Direct feedback to team management and suggestions for improving processes Responsibility/sponsorship for products, equipment, machines, etc.
