About the job
10.06.2022
Despite the pandemic and undesirable electricity price developments, we are closing the financial year 2021 successfully.
After two years shaped by Covid-19, the General Meeting of Rhiienergie AG was finally able to take place again in the usual format. This also pleased the approximately 100 shareholders and guests who followed the invitation of Chairman of the Board Markus Feltscher to the new building at Energieweg 1. The year 2021 was challenging for rhiienergie, both because of the pandemic but especially due to the surprising and extreme electricity price developments. Electricity prices exploded at the end of the year, reaching unprecedented price increases. Fortunately, we had already made our energy purchases in advance and therefore close the year 2021 with remarkable figures. In 2021, we achieved an excellent cash flow of CHF 3.0 million and a profit of CHF 392,400.
In 2021, we were again able to implement some exciting projects. In addition to many photovoltaic systems, including the large system on the roofs of the Oldis gravel plant, we were able to commission an innovative large storage system in June, which contributes to stabilising the Swiss electricity grid. With a capacity of 1.25 MW, it is the largest storage system in the region and one of the first ever in Switzerland.
With projects in the areas of heat and hydrogen production, we continue to be on course with innovative topics for a successful energy future. The photovoltaic trend is also receiving even more attention. For our solar commitment, we were honoured last year at the Swiss Solar Awards in Geneva with two solar diplomas for the PV systems Calinis in Felsberg and at the new building of the operations building in Tamins.
The popular comedian Claudio Zuccolini is now advertising for us and our photovoltaic products. After the successfully launched campaign at the end of May, the guests of the General Meeting were able to enjoy an exclusive performance by the comedian. Zuccolini will act as a partner in advertising in the future and stand for our modern products.
