About the job
Our Clinic for Sleep Medicine (KSM) in Lucerne is a specialised facility for the interdisciplinary care of patients with sleep disorders. Our goal: sustainable help for restful sleep and improved quality of life. With a broad range of treatments and our multiprofessional team, we offer evidence-based medicine at the highest level and care for our patients on an outpatient and online basis.
Our clients are people with all kinds of sleep disorders. A common condition is insomnia, which is often accompanied by comorbid mental disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, somatoform disorders or substance abuse).
Your tasks
- Support: You support in the areas of diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. After the induction phase, you can also take on and document your own areas of activity under supervision.
- Evaluations: You prepare the diagnostic instruments (sleep diagnostics, psychometric questionnaires) and assist with their evaluation.
- Observation: You will have the opportunity to observe initial and clarification interviews as well as the subsequent therapy.
- Exchange: You participate in specialist meetings, daily reports with case presentations on various sleep medicine and psychotherapeutic topics.
- Interviews: Initial or anamnesis interviews can also be conducted and documented independently during the internship, under appropriate supervision. Certain therapeutic tasks, such as guiding relaxation techniques, you will take on independently.
- Sleep medicine: You support the interdisciplinary specialist team in taking the medical history as well as in the preparation and follow-up of consultations.
Your profile
- Education: Participation in a Master’s degree programme in psychology, but can also take place towards the end of the Bachelor’s degree
- Personality: Interest in the topic of sleep as well as openness to medical issues, ability to work in a team, flexibility
- Skills: Good IT skills as well as very good German language skills in spoken and written form, knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage
