Your tasks
As a project manager for spatial planning, you independently handle spatial planning projects with a focus on framework and special use plans. The focus is on site developments as well as the processing of various spatial planning basics and processes. You develop planning and decision-making bases, concepts, and solution proposals. Furthermore, you are responsible for monitoring external services, efficient project management, and cost control. Your responsibilities include drafting applications, reports, and statements for the municipal council, the municipal assembly, and advisory specialist commissions. Another part of your activity includes organizing and conducting events within the framework of spatial planning projects and organizing the internal municipal planning commission.
For technical inquiries in the field of spatial planning, you are available to the population, companies, and authorities. Within the framework of the Birsstadt association, you manage the "Regional Planning" dossier and are always in close contact with the partner municipalities of Birsstadt and the cantonal specialist offices. In addition, you support public relations, accompany communicative processes in planning procedures, and act as an interface to the internal municipal building permit review. Internally, there is also close cooperation with the areas of civil engineering, real estate, and communication.
Our expectations
You have a professional or university degree in spatial planning or a related field (e.g., geography, project development) and/or a postgraduate diploma in one of the aforementioned areas and bring several years of professional experience in spatial planning or a comparable environment, preferably in a project management function. In addition, you have a great interest in spatial planning and urban development topics, related disciplines such as mobility, ecology, and energy, as well as the interdisciplinarity of the community. This task requires a high degree of independence, resilience, organizational skills, assertiveness, teamwork, and flexibility. You are also familiar with common MS Office applications and have a convincing expression in spoken and written language. You bring a willingness to perform and are a committed person who enjoys their profession.
