About the job
Living and working between castle, lake, Rhine and Alps right on your doorstep. A modern, light-flooded practice with a warm wooden ambience. A family-like team that supports each other. No clichés - I was able to experience it personally.
The location is in a charming town in the canton of St. Gallen - between St. Gallen and Chur, directly next to the Principality of Liechtenstein. The townscape is characterised by a castle above the town, a nearby lake and a lively station street with cafés, restaurants and small shops. Regular markets and cultural activities add extra vibrancy to the place.
Geographically, the region is located in the Rhine Valley - directly on the Rhine, which here forms the border between Switzerland and Liechtenstein. For doctors from abroad, the location can be easily identified: south of Lake Constance, nestled between the Alps and the Rhine, with direct connections towards Zurich.
The practice is located in a modern building with a restaurant on the premises. The rooms impress with wooden floors, high-quality wooden furniture and large windows with plenty of daylight. The atmosphere is warm, calm and deliberately not sterile.
I was able to visit the location personally and get to know the team. I immediately felt a very likeable, appreciative and relaxed atmosphere. Here, people work on an equal footing and with joy in their profession.
An assistant doctor and five medical practice assistants (MPAs) work at the location. The current specialist will leave the location in autumn 2026 to return to her home country - a personality is sought who wishes to contribute in the long term.
For doctors newly arriving in Switzerland, furnished 70m² apartments are available directly in the building. This allows for an uncomplicated start. A free underground parking space is also available.
