About the job
At the Kastanienhof School Center in St. Margarethen, around 150 students from kindergarten to 6th grade are taught in mixed-age classes. The school complex consists of three buildings located close to each other with a shared playground and a large playing field.
To complement our team, we are looking for a motivated and committed teacher for a 3rd/4th grade class, 6 weekly lessons, for the 2026/27 school year starting August 1, 2026. On Fridays, you will teach a mixed-age 3rd/4th grade class with around 20 students. Two lessons take place in a half-class format.
In the afternoon, you ideally take over the visual arts and contribute your creative ideas. The planning of German or math lessons is done in close coordination with the experienced class teacher.
You are a proactive individual who holds a Swiss-recognized teaching diploma for primary education, values high teaching quality, enjoys the tasks entrusted to you, approaches others with openness and appreciation, treats them with respect, sees yourself as part of a team, and is willing to actively help shape our school.
We offer you the opportunity to work in a lively and committed team with a lot of passion, a beautiful, well-equipped, and modern workplace (e.g., with IWBs in the classrooms), support from specialist and teaching staff, school social work, and school management, as well as the possibility of financial support for further education.
Have we sparked your interest in our school? We value open and transparent collaboration. Mutual support is as important to us as respectful interaction.
If you have any questions, the school management at Kastanienhof will be happy to assist you: Sandro Bortoluzzi, 071 553 72 01. Please send your application promptly by email to sandro.bortoluzzi@schule-muenchwilen.ch or by post to Schulzentrum Kastanienhof, Mr. Sandro Bortoluzzi, Weinfelderstrasse 90, 9543 St. Margarethen. We look forward to your application. Further information about the Münchwilen school and the Kastanienhof School Center can be found at: www.schule-muenchwilen.ch.
The collaboration in our small team is especially characterized by a culture of openness and togetherness. For example, joint lesson preparation is carried out, which enables sustainable use of one’s own resources.
