The ETH Phenomics Center is a modern research platform for the housing, breeding, and analysis of genetically modified laboratory rodents. In the Cage Preparation Department, we create the optimal conditions for teaching, research, and technology transfer. Your area of responsibility includes, in addition to the receipt, cleaning, and disinfection of goods to be sterilized, also logistics, cleaning, and communication with researchers and animal caretakers within the SPF barrier (specified pathogen-free).

Job description
- After your training, you will take responsibility for maintaining cage preparation, logistics, and cleaning
- In your role as head, you are responsible for the organizational, personnel, and economic management of the department with seven employees
- In addition to administrative and organizational tasks, active participation in the dishwashing/kitchen and cage preparation is expected
- As an authentic, assertive, and conscientious person, you contribute significantly with your expertise to ensuring that internal and external quality standards are always met
Profile
- You are an open-minded, resilient, and communicative personality who enjoys working in a team in a lively, international university environment
- Professional experience in an operational management role in housekeeping, cleaning, or facility management is a must
- You work very reliably, team-oriented, and responsibly
- Very good German skills for capturing, understanding, following, and implementing hazard warnings and operating instructions
- Willingness to operate electronic large devices reliably and properly
- Good physical condition as the activities are physical, mostly standing and walking
- Working under personal protective clothing such as lab coats, face masks, vinyl gloves
- Good MS Office skills
- Independence and flexibility complete your profile
