The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. To strengthen our IT department in Zurich, we are looking for a committed and competent personality in the infrastructure area as a project engineer for technical building equipment (TGA). In this responsible role, you will take on a central position at the interface between ICT, building technology, and operations.

Tasks
- Planning, designing, and procurement of complex systems for building technology and technical IT
- Consulting in the ICT area with a cross-sectional function for building processes, security, building automation, and building technology
- Project management of demanding new and expansion projects including schedule, quality, and financial responsibility
- Translating tactical user requirements into feasible technical concepts
- Creating specifications, conducting tenders, and supporting the awarding processes
- System and service responsibility (Service Owner) for large and complex systems of technical building equipment
- Support in operations, especially in problem management
Profile
- Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, building IT specialist EFZ, or an equivalent technical basic education as well as a degree from a higher technical school (HF) in the relevant field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the relevant specialist or expert area
- Very good knowledge in the field of technical building equipment, preferably in access control systems and video technology
- English skills, especially for technical documentation
- High self-motivation, commitment, and a structured, independent working style
- Willingness to work outside office hours (e.g., during switchovers or commissioning) and willingness to take on on-call duty
