Intern
Monument Preservation Graubünden, Office for Culture | 80-100% | Chur
We are looking for an intern for the Monument Preservation Department at the Office for Culture starting March 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Insight into building consultation and support with subsidy projects
- Collaboration on the Cantonal Building Inventory (field recordings, literature evaluation, image archiving, database entries)
- Research on in-depth building inventories for ongoing building consultation cases
- Systematic evaluation of secondary literature and existing partial inventories
- Insight into spatial planning activities from the perspective of monument preservation
- Contacts with various authorities, specialist offices, and building owners
What we expect from you
- Art historian, architect, historian, or geographer with a degree or student in the mentioned field
- Proven knowledge of architectural history basics and technical terms
- Knowledge of the building stock in the canton is an advantage
- Good written expression in German. Knowledge of an additional cantonal language (Italian and/or Romansh) is welcome
- Commitment, teamwork skills, and local mobility
