About the job
Annual Report 2024
Association KIBE Region Huttwil
In the 2024 association year, the board of the association was able to fully dedicate itself to its actual task: making KIBE visible to the public with events for families and customers. The now well-rehearsed board team showed great commitment and creativity.
But first things first.
Participation in the Carnival Parade, 24 February 2024
Participation in the 2024 carnival under the motto "The Bats in front of Witch Castle" was a first major highlight in this association year.
The aim of participating in the 2024 parade was that this offer could be used by all KIBE customers. So not only by customers of the daycare centre as before, but also by customers of the day school and the day families. This met with a very great response. Already in November and December, we were busy devising the costume, filming a craft video, and collecting registrations. In January 24, we put together craft sets for all registered participants and sent them to the parents and children.
About 80 children and adults from daycare, day families and day school took part in the parade dressed as bats or witches. The parade handcart, which the children of the day school had built under the expert guidance of Nicolas, was the big eye-catcher. This huge group in the parade impressively illustrated how KIBE has grown in recent years.
Ribimatte Festival 26 May 2024
The team of the Ribimatte playground, namely Erich Stamm and Peter Nyffeler, gave us the opportunity this year to run a stall and offer games at the popular Ribimatte Festival. We gladly took this opportunity to present ourselves directly to our target audience. With a colourful stall where we offered candy floss, popcorn and games, we were able to show the field of activity of KIBE Region Huttwil to the festival visitors and, in addition to moments of enjoyment and play, hold many interesting conversations. Numerous children and families from Huttwil and the surrounding area spent a pleasant, sociable and entertaining Sunday at Ribimatte in the best weather and lively atmosphere.
Kasperlitheater Gwundernäsli
On 4 November, Manuela Steiner and her husband performed with their theatre stage Gwundernäsli from Steffisburg the two plays "Dr Kasperli saves Grandma's Birthday" and "Dr Kasperli and the Confirmation Robber". The two performances in the premises of the Catholic Church were very well attended.
Since two different plays were performed, there were guests who attended both performances. This showed us that events of this kind are very much appreciated. The subsequent catering with hot dogs, homemade cakes and drinks was very much appreciated and actively used by the guests. Many thanks to the Catholic parish for the generous hospitality.
Project "Excursion Ideas for Families"
In cooperation with the online platform of Oberaargau Tourism, we are compiling a collection of small, simple and inexpensive excursion destinations for families in the Huttwil region. Clarifications with Oberaargau Tourism are currently underway. To implement our idea, we are looking for parents with children who will visit an excursion destination with us.
I thank everyone who contributed with their commitment, ideas and support to making KIBE Region Huttwil so lively, visible and connecting in 2024 – and I look forward to a new year together!
