Competent trainers support you and enable you to receive a solid vocational education with a strong practical focus. In the four-year vocational training to become an IT specialist, you are responsible for the setup and maintenance of IT systems. You deal with hardware and software of individual and networked systems. You work on servers, networks, workstations and prepare software. You learn the basic knowledge in the foundation year at the external ZLI. Afterwards, you rotate through the various departments of the IT services and participate in projects. Other tasks include:- developing, implementing, installing, testing, operating and maintaining IT solutions
- installing PC workstations, printers and servers
- helping employees with questions and problems (hotline or on site)
- expanding device configurations, performing hardware repairs, creating backups
- operating, maintaining and expanding networks and telephony
Your Profile
- at least upper secondary level (Sec. A) with very good grades in mathematics, German and English; good assessment of work, learning and social behaviour
- interest and enjoyment in technology
- logical-abstract thinking ability, high concentration skills
- reliable
- independent and systematic way of working
