The Department of Economic Affairs comprises six offices: the Office for Public Transport, Cantonal Forestry Office, Agricultural Office, Office for Nature, Hunting and Fisheries, Office for Economy and Labour, Office for Data and Statistics, as well as the General Secretariat. Currently, around 650 employees are engaged. The IT service unit provides services for the staff of the central administration of the Departments of Education, Finance, and Economic Affairs. The IT infrastructure is outsourced to external partners.
We are looking for an
Administrative Officer IT (m/f/d)
starting 1 November 2026 or by arrangement
Workload: 50%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- Processing entries, exits, and other personnel changes in IT systems
- Provision of IT workstations for employees including instruction
- Maintaining user accounts and permissions
- Responsible for ordering and managing the IT inventory
- Supporting employees with IT questions and daily IT operations
- Contributing to the standardisation and optimisation of personnel and ordering processes in IT
- Assisting with other administrative tasks
What distinguishes you
- Completed commercial basic training
- Very good IT user skills and a strong affinity for IT topics (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, operation of smartphones and similar)
- Good knowledge of SharePoint or willingness to acquire it
- Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
