Nurse in the Emergency Department
Onex Clinic and Emergency Service
We are looking for a qualified and motivated nurse to join our team in the emergency department at Cité générations – Health House. The ideal candidate is dynamic, able to react quickly in a demanding environment, and knows how to provide quality care with compassion and professionalism.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the reception, assessment, and management of patients in emergency situations
- Administer first aid and stabilize patients awaiting treatment or intervention
- Work collaboratively with doctors and other members of the care team to provide appropriate and rapid care
- Manage priorities in a high-pressure environment by applying current protocols and procedures
- Participate in the continuous monitoring of patients, anticipate and respond to immediate needs
- Ensure clear and reassuring communication with patients and their families
- Document and maintain medical records accurately and confidentially
Technical Skills
- State diploma in nursing or equivalent recognized
- Right to practice in the canton of Geneva
- Experience in emergency services or another acute care environment (a major asset)
- Mastery of the Swiss triage scale
- Mastery of immobilization techniques (notably the Woodcast)
- Mastery of emergency technical gestures and medical monitoring tools
- Ability to manage stressful situations and work in an intense environment
- Excellent observation skills and quick decision-making ability
- Sense of organization, rigor, and ability to manage priorities
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
