To complete the team of the Cardiopsychotherapy service at the Cardiocentro Ticino Institute in Lugano, we are looking for a
Counselor (50%)
Profile:
The selected resource will be integrated into the inpatient department of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and soon also Thoracic Surgery, working closely with the medical and nursing team.
They demonstrate a strong sensitivity in recognizing and responding to the needs of users, can offer concrete emotional support, and share our patient- and family-centered vision.
They are a person who works well in a team, with an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach. They possess excellent communication and relational skills, which allow them to build effective and functional relationships, even in complex and emotionally charged contexts, gaining the trust and respect of users and colleagues.
Necessary requirements:
- Diploma of Counselor obtained from a school of the Swiss Society of Counseling (SGfB);
- Strong social sensitivity and ability for active listening and a tendency to refrain from judgment;
- Ability to maintain a balanced attitude even in the presence of strong emotions;
- Knowledge and application of the ethical code norms of the professional association and the Institute of belonging;
- Good knowledge of the main computer programs;
- Excellent command of the Italian language;
- Knowledge of another national language and/or English is a preferential title
