The cantonal unemployment fund (ALK), together with the Regional Employment Center and the Employment Office, implements unemployment insurance law. The focus of their services is on clarifying entitlement to benefits as well as calculating and timely paying compensation for unemployment, insolvency, short-time work, and bad weather.
We are looking for a
Clerk ALK 50–100 %
immediately or by arrangement with workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Checking and assessing claims for unemployment compensation
- Payment of unemployment compensation
- Issuing first-instance decisions and preparing appeal-compliant rulings
- Legally compliant enforcement of unemployment insurance law
- Advising the insured and other claim groups
Requirements
- Commercial basic training with several years of professional experience in qualified clerical work (preferably in the social insurance sector)
- Willingness to complete the Federal Specialist Certificate as a Social Insurance Specialist
- Strong numerical aptitude and interest in legal issues
- High level of resilience, sense of responsibility, and decisiveness
- Independent, precise, efficient, and timely way of working
- Customer orientation and enjoyment in dealing with people
- Proficient in the use of MS Office with good IT skills
