About the job

To complement our «Fugu» nursery team Winterthur Römertor, we are looking for an assistant educator 80% immediately, limited until the end of July 2026 or by arrangement.

«Fugu» nurseries are a private operation aiming to expand family-supportive childcare at attractive locations. Our nursery is located in a beautiful house and has two outdoor groups in close proximity. We have a garden for attractive outdoor play opportunities. The bright rooms are child-friendly furnished. The house is centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. Our cook provides delicious and healthy menus daily for the children and all staff. The nursery is designed for 5 groups. Opening hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

As an assistant educator, you give your full commitment across several groups and are a valuable support for the group leaders. You represent the group leaders during holiday absences and demonstrate your leadership skills. Further training is a matter of course with us. TASKS

• Care and support of the children in everyday life
• Constructive collaboration with the group leadership and support in everyday life
• Assistance in planning and conducting excursions
• Assistance in planning and implementing regular parent events
• Professional work with parents
• Independent management of the children’s group according to our educational principles as well as independent assumption of all related activities during the absence of the group leader

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed training as a childcare specialist EFZ, specialising in children
• Resilience and great commitment in working with children
• Reliable, independent and organised working style
• Motivation, joy and interest in working with children and the team
• Positive and professional appearance
