Professor for Giftedness and Talent Development 80 – 100%
The focus of the Institute for Learning under Challenging Conditions (ILEB) is the question of how educational standards can be secured equitably even under difficult learning conditions in order to enable successful educational pathways. Giftedness and talent development is understood as an integral part of inclusive education and forms a strategic teaching, research and development area of the institute.
The professorship addresses giftedness and talent development as a field of teaching, practice and research with the aim of recognising potential early and specifically improving the educational and developmental opportunities of children and young people with special talents.
For this strategically important area, we are looking for a committed and research-strong personality from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Further development of the strategic teaching, research and development area "Giftedness and Talent Development" in education, continuing education, research and services
- Acquisition and management of research and development projects as well as projects for third parties
- Professional supervision of project teams and promotion of young researchers
- Dissemination in scientific publications, at expert committees, conferences and in the scientific community
- Professional contribution to the implementation of the overall strategy of the HfH
- Bringing in your expertise in the further development of the institute, in internal committees and working groups
- Visible positioning of the HfH in professional debates as well as in national and international networks
Your profile
- Doctorate in special and remedial education, educational sciences or social sciences
- Teaching diploma as well as diploma in school-based special education advantageous
- Comprehensive expertise on topics of giftedness and talent development
- Proven research competence, experience in managing research projects including third-party funding acquisition – ideally related to giftedness and talent development
- High didactic competence in university teaching
- Proven knowledge of the Swiss education system and good networking
- Leadership, communication and cooperation skills
