Job description
The Chemistry and Biochemistry Section of the Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva is distinguished by the excellent quality of its research and demanding teaching.
The holder must supply the Faculty of Science laboratories with chemicals, gases, and laboratory glassware. Their main tasks are processing and following up orders, receiving goods and putting them in place, as well as advising and selling items from the Store.
Main activities:
Receive, check, label and stock goods.
- Ensure the computerised processing of goods receipts.
- Manage storage, organisation and stock monitoring.
- Welcome, advise and serve customers in French and English.
- Carry out sales and cash handling operations.
- Perform administrative and accounting tasks related to the store's activity.
Required qualifications and skills
Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as storekeeper, logistics manager, chemical laboratory technician or any equivalent training
Knowledge of safety rules applicable to chemical and biological products is an asset
Languages: French-English
Skills
The candidate works rigorously, is autonomous and appreciates teamwork. The candidate demonstrates ease in interpersonal relationships. Dynamic, cheerful and highly adaptable, they integrate easily into different environments. Depending on the workload related to periodic fluctuations, the holder may be required to adjust their working hours.
