With the specialist areas of counseling, training, and integration, the Swiss specialist center for visually impaired people in the professional environment (SIBU) offers a unique and comprehensive range of services for people with visual impairments in the professional context. Affected individuals, IV offices, and employers are advised, accompanied, and supported in the process of professional integration. Our goal is to enable people with visual impairments to live as self-determined a life as possible both professionally and privately. Our clients are the cantonal IV offices.
To complement our team in the counseling department, we are looking for an immediate or agreed upon start for a
Specialist Intake and Assessment (Short Assessments) 70% (m/f/d)
Your area of responsibility:- You are responsible for organizing and coordinating the admissions of clients into the inpatient measures of SIBU Basel.
- You communicate with clients as well as with the referring specialist offices and ensure clear and transparent information flow.
- In close cooperation with the internal specialist departments (training, rehabilitation, visually impaired-specific residential support), you ensure a smooth admission process.
- At the appropriate time, you hand over the clients to the career coaching of the counseling department; until then, you remain the contact person for the clients and the referring specialist offices.
- You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and applying for visually impaired-specific assessments and conduct preliminary clarifications with the clients. You prepare information for all involved specialists.
- Weekly, you conduct up to two assessments, prepare them, clarify open questions with the clients, and moderate internal evaluation discussions with the involved specialists.
- You create detailed assessment reports with recommendations for further action and are available to the commissioning IV office as well as the clients for questions and evaluation discussions.
Ideally, you have training in social work HF/FH or a comparable qualification in coaching.
Experience in the relevant field (e.g., coordination and execution of assessments)
You work independently and well organized, are proficient in Office programs, and write clear, precise reports.
You are an open, committed, and responsible personality who supports clients resource-oriented in their individual issues.
Experience in dealing with clients with special needs
