THE MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY OF YVERDON HOSPITAL IS LOOKING FOR

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recording analysis requests
• Inoculating microbiology samples
• Depending on experience: Performing direct examinations (Gram, Acridine) and rapid tests, reading cultures and antibiograms
• Performing medical analyses in the field of molecular biology: PCR GeneXpert (Cepheid), QIAstat (Qiagen), Flash10 (Coyote), Liaison MDX (DiaSorin)
• Performing quality controls according to Qualab directives
• Equipment maintenance
• Compliance with hygiene and safety rules
• Possible weekday on-call duties until 10pm (no night shifts)
• Possible weekend on-call duties until 10pm (no night shifts)

SKILLS – REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Swiss ES diploma as a Biomedical Analysis Technician or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
• Experience in a similar environment (e.g. an internship)
• Organisation and prioritisation skills
• Autonomy and teamwork
