Apprenticeship Groundworker EFZ

• Preparations
• Read and understand plans, carry out work and material deployment planning
• Prepare, transport, and store materials and machines on the construction site
• Set up tools, equipment, and drills
• Mark access to the construction site, set up safety barriers and fences, attach signs and lighting
• Stake out the property according to plans
• Remove soil, dig with shovels, excavators, and other machines
• Secure excavation pit, shore up trenches, set piles, seal walls, and carry out other safety measures, pump out groundwater
• Assemble and disassemble drills, examine the soil, pass on information about the condition of the subsoil to civil engineers
• Stabilize soil with various materials, inject cement mixtures, fill holes, attach steel reinforcements, weld and cut with a torch, secure slopes with rock anchors, concrete
• Safety and maintenance
• Clean up the workplace and dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly manner
• Know and apply safety and environmental protection regulations
• Write work reports
• Maintain and possibly repair machines and tools

• Secondary level A, B, or good C graduation
• Manual skills
